Northeast
Health is a not-for-profit community healthcare system serving
the healthcare needs of the greater mid-coast area. Camden
Health Care Center (CHCC), Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care (KWL), the
Knox Center for Long-Term Care (Knox) and Penobscot Bay Medical
Center (PBMC) came together in 1994 to provide our friends
and neighbors with high-quality acute, long-term and home-care
services through a more cost-effective system. Penobscot Bay
Physicians & Associates (PBPA), a physicians' practice
management organization, is dedicated to providing support
for the physician services needed in our community.
Camden
Health Care Center and Knox Center for Long-Term Care are
facilities that provide both skilled and nursing facility
levels of care. In addition, CHCC has an assisted-living unit
and is constructing new facilities to accommodate a full-service
retirement community.
Penobscot
Bay Medical Center is a 109-bed full-service community hospital.
PBMC offers outpatient and inpatient care, diagnostic, therapeutic
and rehabilitative services as well as patient and community
education. A full range of specialty services is provided
by the Emergency Department, Special Care Unit, Surgical Services,
Day Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and the
Psychiatric and Addictions Recovery Center.
Kno-Wal-Lin
Home Care is a comprehensive home-health agency including
a Medicare-certified hospice program and private-duty services.
Our
medical staff numbers 85, with over 35 specialties represented.
PBPA recruits both private practicing physicians and employed
physicians in order to assure that the community has access
to a wide range of needed medical care.
Currently,
Northeast Health has several positions available. Registered
Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants in a variety of specialties
are being highly sought in areas such as long-term care, home
care, medical/surgical and special care unit. Other positions
the hospital is looking to fill include medical lab technologist,
certified surgical technologist, ultrasonographer and radiology
technician. The hospital offers health, dental and life insurance;
short-term disability; a generous PTO (paid time off) program
and an employee assistance program.
Mid-Coast
Maine residents enjoy our charming location with its picturesque
waterfront areas, relaxed lifestyle, strong arts and outdoor
recreation, fine schools and more.
